Garden centres in England are allowed to remain open to the public during the second lockdown, as long as precautions are made with regard to social distancing.
We ask all of our customers to please be aware of these measures and to make allowances for the changes when shopping with us.
As in many other shops, customer numbers within the store will be limited. At busier times there will be a controlled queuing system outside.
In line with current government regulations, all customers will be required to wear face coverings in shops and supermarkets. As such, we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone not wearing a face covering. (Exceptions apply for children under 11 and for those with certain disabilities.) We have some masks available at the door however stocks will be limited so please do not rely on this if possible.
Click here for the governments full guidance on face coverings, when to wear them and who is exempt.
To assist with limiting the numbers of customers in store we ask that people visit us in groups no larger than 6. We also ask that you remain together with people in your group and especially keep children with you at all times and do not let them run freely around the store.
Try to keep two metres between yourself and others in store as much as possible, excepting with members of your own group. There are spaced markers on the floor to aid with this.
We usually love to welcome well behaved furry friends but it would help as at the moment if they could stay home. We won’t ever turn them away though.
It is important that customers have an idea of the products that they wish to buy before arriving, prolonged browsing within the store will hold up the flow of customers and mean that customers are here for a lot longer than they need to be. Please prepare a list before visiting to help you make your purchases. We also ask that you refrain from touching products as much as possible unless you intend to buy them.
The store will have navigation markers and signs to aid customers in finding the products that they are looking for and to aid with social distancing.
The Till area will have spaced queuing, as well as screens for the protection of staff and customer alike.
Payment by contactless card is preferred, however we will be happy accept cash and vouchers.
Our normal opening hours will apply for the main shop, however please note the Coffee Shop is closed until further notice.
Unfortunately for the time being, our toilet facilities will be much more limited. The normal ladies and gents will be closed to the public and designated staff only. Only our single disabled toilet will be available to all customers, so please plan accordingly.
We are continuing with our delivery service for those customers who do not wish to visit the store. Please see more details here.
Please be responsible and respectful to both staff and other customers, these are difficult times that can be frustrating but we are all in this together and only by working together can we remain open with safe and relatively stress free conditions.
